I was really excited to do this piece, I worked really hard on coming up with the composition and the concept: one of my characters who is of a Siren species floating through the deep sea with jellyfish and wires. It was a development of the concept I’ve recently been calling “Cyberfantasy,” the combination of sci-fi, cyberpunk, and fantasy.
I ended up not finishing the painting even though I got quite far into the coloring/rendering stage. I think I was unhappy with my technique. It got too messy. Maybe I just got a little bored, I’m not too sure. But I hope that in the future I’ll pick up where I left off, even if it requires me redoing the entire coloring process again.
