Clubbed to Death

Finally made some proper art of one of my newest characters, Trinity! This drawing is pretty rough in terms of rendering and fine details, but I think it acts more as a concept art piece for her, showcasing a bit of her personality and character.

I started this drawing during my art livestreams – the second ever drawing I worked on live! I was struggling a LOT with this one at first. I had to make so many changes to the pose, the hair, outfit, colors – everything. It was a pretty frustrating piece to work on. I came back to it after about 2 weeks and just wrapped it up with some final touches and adjustments, as well as the graphic elements I added like overlays and text, which I think really brought the whole drawing together.

The backstory

Trinity was a Peacefighter – part of a group of netrunners who protect the common man against malicious AIs, entities, and organizations in the Cybernet. She was known as one of the best runners in cyberspace, yet her operations would one day end after being captured by Maelstrom, an ever-expanding megacorporation known by the Peacekeepers for their total exploitation of human rights in the real world and the Cybernet. Trinity became their number one enemy after years of slowly destroying their digital systems while evading all of their attempts to stop her. Besides her involvement in digital advocacy, she also deeply despises the extreme-capitalist system of exploitation and violation that megacorporations push onto the people. She sees them as a plague to society, and after over a decade of peaceful protesting for better corporate regulations, her agenda became more and more hands on, loud, and aggressive. She could no longer be ignored.

After her tethering to Memphis, she began to show him the Cybernet and real world’s deeply hidden true colors, heeding a warning to him, “Don’t worry Cowboy, you’ll be clubbed to death in this system, too.”
