the finished version! i made a light and dark variation because i wasnt sure which one i preferred… i am still deciding, because i do want to have a “main” version. i think i like the dark one more, idk lol!
this drawing was really fun to make. i seriously had such a good time with it, and i watched a lot of enjoyable content on youtube while i worked. i think watching content that makes you happy is really important.
heres a note of my thought process behind the cybersigilism graphics i added:
cybersigilism is a graphic style that is really popular nowadays. i personally love it because it has this sort of harmony between cyberpunk and heavy metal to me. when i see cybersigils, i think of heavy metal album covers and the sharp shape language in general just gives off that really aggressive and powerful feeling i get from listening to metal. if you’re curious, i am a big fan of death metal, so thats why i really like this connection. not only that, but to me, when i see cybersigilism tattoos, it feels almost like a cyber augmentation tattoo. its kind of like adorning your body with this really intricate jewelry. not exactly for tech like an actual cyber augmentation, but more for the aesthetics. there’s definitely nothing wrong with aesthetic tattoos. i think they look really amazing. so yeah, just the combination of cyberpunk and metal associations makes me quite fond of cybersigilism.
