In the Wind

In the Wind

A very random drawing I made of my character Lyosha. I don’t often draw him, but when I do, it’s usually something quite whimsical in composition, cause he is just whimsical and fun! Also, I just realized I forgot to draw his eye scar, but oh well. Let’s just say this was before he got his eye injury. If you’re curious how this guy got a badass eye scar, here’s the short story:

Lyosha is an adventurer at heart. Whenever he has free time away from his classes, he will go out into the wild world and explore. Sometimes, that means getting himself into some danger and trouble. And one day, that just happened to be a duel with a monstrous eagle. Lyosha made it out alive, but not without some scratches.

I also wanted to show the before and after of this drawing’s rendering. I was originally going to keep this piece at the stage you see on the left and call it finished. Then I got a bit carried away with the post-processing and just decided to throw in some dramatic warm lighting and all! I really like how it came out though. It just made the whole piece more moody and glowy!

  1. This is gorgeous! I love the txture the final piece has that looks like it’s printed on paper or something. And that green… whatever that is looks really magical!
