To The Stars

Bout two weeks ago I decided to start livestreaming on my second channel after doing one stream then dipping for like… 7 months LOL. I was thinking of starting to regularly stream art for a while now, and finally started again and honestly… it went so much better than I ever expected. This is what I drew during it! We all had so much fun and it was so much silliness, but it was actually a really good environment for me to work in. I enjoyed being able to draw something while interacting with everyone, especially knowing others were doing their own projects/tasks/hobbies at the same time!! It helped me stay motivated to draw for much longer.

I ended up drawing my character Neptune in a spaceship! Which was actually suggested by my chat, which is so awesome. The drawing came out SO much better than I ever imagined it would, especially in terms of its concept, because I had other people there to inspire me with ideas! I went for a bit of a simpler style, just letting the brushstrokes flow without much structure or thought, but in a way I think that’s why I like the end result so much. I think Neptune turned out super great and I’m also really happy with the background and planet Neptune behind her. :3 It’s a fun drawing – I imagine Neptune posing in front of the spaceship’s glass as they pass by the planet who she shares a name with and being like, “Hey look! Take a picture, Neptune and Neptune!”

I named this piece “To The Stars” because obviously… space theme. But also because during this stream I was playing Monstercat music! A lot of the classics, and one of my favorite Monstercat tracks is called “To The Stars” by Day One, so it’s also like a little reference to that, which is nice.
